Lynn is  interested in developing collaborations between the natural and social sciences.
Existing research projects  include within the area of food safety, emerging food risks, food allergy, tracebility and emerging food technologies.

Research


  • Developing methods to systematically analysis and evaluate participatory processes, including public consultation and stakeholder analysis
  • Application of psychological models to understanding consumer attitudes to emerging food technologies (nanotechnogy, other emerging agri-food technologies)
  • Developing and testing models of risk / benefit perception and communication, and subsequent impacts on food choice behaviour
  • Investigating the importance of public trust and institutional credibility in  food risk governance

Teaching

Lynn contributes to various natural and social science courses relevant to consumers, stakeholders and food at the University of Wageningen and beyond. She is particularly interested in developing interdisciplinary course which integrate the social and natural sciences in the area of food safety and / or food choice. Lynn coordinates the Food Risk Analysis postgraduate course at Wageningen  (Mansholt Graduate School PhD course)
